Splashpad updates June 2025

Thank you all for your patience as park volunteers work to fix various issues before opening up the Splashpad. There have been some nice days this summer when it would be nice to use the Splashpad.

In the meantime here is what we have been fixing:

• Waterleak at the park - had to find it (hard to do with the rain we've had) and fix it

• Part in the pumphouse broke as we were getting the Splashpad up and running. Was not a big or expensive part, but it pushed back the opening

• Concrete apron around the Splashpad - so that most of the water stays in the Splashpad and doesn't run out, wasting water (and $!)

Once the Splashpad is open, the hours will be 2-6 (until we get more sponsors for the Splashpad, we are keeping the hours short to keep our water bill down - As always, we want to remind you that the park is funded by donations and run by volunteers.)

We did finish the landscaping, thank you all the volunteers who contributed during Cleanup Day in May (and Dana Eade for organizing this).
